Using these two perspectives, Flowserve built the Global Technology and Training Center (GTTC) - an industry of learning under one roof. Within its 24,000 square feet, the GTTC has the equipment conditions and expertise students need to experiment, test, modify, and verify the "what ifs" of the tools they use every day.
It's a technical training center that is unparalleled by any other in the world.
At the GTTC, participants receive the kind of training that is not just theory, not just hands-on, but a balanced combination.
The GTTC is located in Irving, Texas, in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. This convenient location is within minutes of the DFW International Airport.
Classrooms
In addition to the vast and variable training space, the GTTC also has four state-of-the-art classrooms where groups of 20 students receive the theory and reference they need to get the most out of their hands-on experience. Each participant spends the large part of each classroom day disassembling, operating, testing and troubleshooting process control equipment and systems.
Unlike other theory-driven programs, Flowserve uses these classrooms to provide participants with a deep, practical understanding of the way fluid management systems and equipment work.
Static Lab
In the 2300-square-foot static lab, participants have access to the latest equipment from manufacturers around the world. A wide range of pumps, valves and seals give participants the chance to work with the equipment they encounter in their everyday work environment. These experiments help them reach higher levels of competence in hands-on repair, root-cause of failure analysis, material identification, selection, installation and other vital troubleshooting skills.
Power Lab
Because "seeing is believing," the GTTC's four impressive 900-square-foot Power Labs are filled with innovative see-through training aids such as glass flowmeters, plexi-glass suction lines, extensive gauges, vibration monitoring equipment and unique clear acrylic pumps. With these tools, students learn first-hand how to prevent pumps, seals and control valves from failing.
In the power lab, pumping systems operate as they do in plants around the world. Many of the lab's pumps have been modified to allow students to compare methods of maintenance. Examples include axial impeller adjustment (a graphic experiment which changes many perceptions of this important detail), piping, NPSH, vapor in the stream, installation, pipe strain, equipment condition and more.

Based on the applied learning principles that drove the design of the Global Technology and Training Center (LRC) in Dallas, Texas, the LRC in Desio-Milan, Italy, also offers best practices and maintenance training programs to Flowserve customers, distributors and employees. The location also provides attendees the opportunity to experience firsthand the people, technologies and manufacturing capabilities found in one of Europe's leading pump manufacturing facilities.

Located in the heart of Jurong Island, Singapore, the CPTC is the location where most of the Flowserve laboratory exercises are conducted. The lab exercises provide participants an opportunity to work with equipment which they will encounter in similar work environments.

Static Lab
In the static lab, participants are expected to get hands-on with the lab equipment (e.g., with pumps, valves and mechanicals seals). They will learn to perform experiments, do measurement checks, assemble and disassemble equipment, and to perform integrity tests. These exercises are designed to provide pump engineers with the basic technical skills to cope with on-site or off-site situations encountered in their work. Participants will also enjoy a shop tour with various assortments of pumps, seals and valves models on display. To enhance the students' learning experiences, these models are exhibited in the form of cutaways, or in full or partially assembled states.

The Suzhou Learning Resource Center is located in the Flowserve Suzhou facility that includes three buildings, with a ground area of 14 000 square meters. Located in Tlaxcala, Mexico, the Learning Resource Center is the location where training and laboratory exercises are conducted.
The Mexico LRC has developed several technical and maintenance courses that enhance participants' knowledge of fluid management systems and rotational equipment. The lab exercises provide participants an opportunity to work with equipment they will encounter in similar work environments.
Our trainers have several years experience working in fields relevant to the training and will be a valuable resource to our participants. At the end of the training the participants will undergo field and written testing in order to be appropriately certified.

Transportation
The Flowserve LRC is located in the Flowserve facility in Tlaxcala, Mexico. If you arrive at Mexico City International Airport, you will need to take the Mexico - Puebla highway and then Puebla - Tlaxcala highway to the Tlaxcala LRC that is located about two hours from the airport. While at training, Flowserve provides transportation from the LRC to the hotel and back. You will be picked up at the hotel lobby at 7:30 every morning.
