Energy Recovery Devices
Available in English, Arabic, Spanish and Chinese, this animation highlights the outstanding operational and economic benefits the DWEER offers to SWRO plant owners and operators.
Flowserve 的海水淡化能力通过对 CALDER AG 的收购得到了扩展，这家公司专门从事海水淡化反渗透工艺所用设备的制造。
Flowserve announces an order for CALDER Dual Work Exchanger Energy Recovery (DWEER) units with an approximate value of $10 million USD for the Sorek seawater desalination plant.
Flowserve receives an order for plug valves for the Southern Seawater Desalination Plant near Perth, Australia.
Having equipped desalination plants for more than half a century, Flowserve understands energy is the largest operating cost for any SWRO facility. Flowserve also understands that high-efficiency equipment and especially energy recovery devices are critical to making the process cost-effective.
That’s why in 2009 Flowserve acquired the Swiss company Calder™. Calder specializes in the design, engineering and manufacture of energy recovery devices and related propriety technologies for reverse osmosis desalination.
By bringing together industry-leading pumps, seals, valves and energy recovery devices as well as unmatched materials expertise and application knowledge, Flowserve is the premier provider of complete, integrated flow control solutions for the global SWRO industry.
The Calder DWEER is the most efficient energy recovery device available today and is installed in many of the world’s largest SWRO plants. Able to recover up to 98% of the energy in the brine stream, it is a substantial improvement over alternative power recovery devices and technologies. The result is a significant reduction in an SWRO plant’s operating costs. And, with its unrivaled operational flexibility, robust design, high availability and extremely low maintenance costs, it will continue to provide value for decades. More info…
Calder energy recovery turbines (ERT) are designed and manufactured specifically for reverse osmosis desalination. They can recover as much as 90% of the hydraulic energy remaining in the brine stream, converting it into rotary power for the high-pressure pumps. Highly efficient and reliable, Calder ERTs are installed in nearly 1000 seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis plants worldwide, with a total installed capacity in excess of 350 MW. More info…
