Flowserve IPS WirelessTM technology provides access to key process and system parameters. This enables plant operators to respond quickly to adverse operating conditions, which enhances productivity and profitability.

IPS Wireless employs unique transmitting units that process sensor signals and wirelessly transmit not only data, but actionable information back to plant operators. Plant operators are able to make timely and informed decisions that lower production costs by increasing equipment availability and operational efficiency. The IPS Wireless radio signal transmission is reliable, scalable, secure and interoperable and interfaces with most existing sensor systems found in process plants.

Limitless Applications
Flowserve IPS Wireless technology allows the acquisition of analog and digital data where wired systems are not economically feasible. The technology enables the prompt utilization of important equipment and process data, including:

Gas emissions

Gas detection transmitters are available for numerous environments. Gases monitored include but are not limited to NH3, CO, CO2, CL2, H2S, O2, SO2 and many volatile organic compounds. Operating ranges may be defined by the specific application (LEL, ppm, etc.). Typical applications include monitoring of emission points on seals, valves, flanges, process areas, tank vents and storage units.


Pressure transmitters are available for operating pressures from vacuum to 1034 bar (15 000 psi). Absolute, gage or differential pressure may be monitored. Operating ranges are defined by the specific application. Typical applications include pipelines, vessels, reactors, stacks, tanks, pumps and other rotating equipment.


Temperature transmitters are available in resistive temperature (RTD) or thermocouple (type J, K, N, etc.) designs and can monitor temperatures up to 1093°C (2000°F). RTDs come in 100 ohm and 1000 ohm platinum units. Operating ranges are defined by the specific application. Temperature monitoring is commonplace on rotating equipment, tanks, vessels, pipelines, process units and control panels.


Vibration transmitters measure overall vibration readings in either acceleration (0-10 G peak) or velocity (0-1 in/s peak). Operating ranges are defined by the specific application. Common uses include point monitoring on motors, blower and fan housings, bearing housings, skid frames, pump bases and compressor frames.


IPS Wireless offers a total wireless solution for capturing, transmitting and integrating flow data economically. Wireless single-point sensing, monitoring and transmitting devices can be used with pumps, valves and other process equipment to provide real-time flow data to the control room. Operating ranges are defined by the specific application (gpm, m3/h, etc.).


IPS Wireless technology can be used to monitor fluid levels in storage tanks and vessels. Devices work via radar or ultrasonic technology. Units can further be designed to provide the continuous power to a loop powered instrument.
