Injection Well

Upon completion of the cycle, geothermal water and condensed steam are injected through a well back into the reservoir to be reheated. Injection service is typically performed by Flowserve axially split, between bearings, single-stage pumps. These heavy-duty, double volute, double-suction pumps operate reliably in this continuous service.

In some cases, mineralized geothermal brine contains enough corrosive salts and heavy metals to require special disposal. To remove salts, silica and heavy metals, the waste stream must be chemically treated and dewatered. Flowserve can provide waste water/chemical process pumps and valves perfectly suited to this application.
