Wind power energy generation is growing exponentially, as offshore wind farms are increasingly common throughout the worlds' oceans.

Typically, offshore wind turbines generate and transmit energy through a collection system to a dedicated transformer / transmission platform. The transformer must be cooled with filtered seawater in a heat exchanger containing pure water.

Flowserve can supply submersible seawater lift pumps along with water circulation and treatment pumps for transformer cooling systems. For offshore wind turbines with generating capacities of 5 MW and larger, Flowserve also offers turbine-cooling seawater pumps.
