Annual internal audits require disclosure of all emissions sources and verify proper permitting and adherence to emission limits.

Whenever Flowserve acquires a new facility, environmental challenges are given first priority during the integration process. Facilities brought on board are expected to be fully compliant with Flowserve's environmental standards within two years. Flowserve senior management ensures that the financial resources, administrative tools and guidance are provided to achieve this goal.

In addition to lower emissions, reduced chemical usage and pollution prevention, Flowserve continually upgrades facilities and equipment to reduce our energy consumption. These energy reduction efforts indirectly lower Flowserve's impact on the environment by reducing power generation related pollution and fuel consumption.
