Pneumatic Actuators Type KP Series 1 / 2 / 3
The function of the actuator is to adjust the opening of the valve according to the instrument signal in order to ensure correct control of the process media. Depending on the actuator selected, the valve position may be open or closed, as in the case of isolating valves, or continuously modulating in the case of control valves. Flowserve offers different types of actuators according to the thrust or torque required (pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic) to operate rotary or linear control valve designs.

Series 2 Stainless Steel actuators for standard use. Valve sizes from 1/2" to 6" are not a problem. Multi-Spring design, fail-open or fail-close position and various accessories such as handwheel or limit stop makes the Series 2 Stainless Steel pneumatic actuator the standard choice.
Series 3 Heavy Duty pneumatic diaphragm actuators with diaphragm areas of 1700cm² and 3200cm² for extreme powerful usage. Maximum thrust level is up to 10 tons.
