Technical
All Flowserve Worcester Chlorine ball valves are constructed in accordance with the guidelines of the Chlorine Institute as outlined in Pamphlet 6, Systems for Dry Chlorine. This includes:
A relief hole in the ball to bypass the upstream seat to relieve pressure expansion of the valve cavity toward the direction of high pressure.
A bottom entry stem or stem with internal retention to prevent accidental removal while the valve is in service
Externally adjustable stem seals for in service adjustability
Visual indication of valve position and Body, Ball and Stem materials proven compatible with chlorine
Special processing for chlorine service including special testing for seat tightness, special cleaning and special packaging.
