Used in conjunction with a Flowserve Mechanical seal fitted with QCD, the SLD helps protect the seal faces in dry running slurry applications to improve the equipment's Mean Time Between Planned Maintenance (MTBPM). Equipment cavitation, air ingestion, or improper venting can cause a mechanical seal failure. The SLD is a stand-alone system that dispenses synthetic lubrication to the atmospheric quench side of mechanical seal faces
