Flowserve Awarded Three-year Contract for its Online Assurance Program by Bangchak Petroleum
Flowserve to Install IPS APEX Intelligent Data Acquisition Equipment to Assist Bangchak in Proactively Managing Critical Assets
DALLAS, Nov. 3, 2011 – Flowserve Corporation (NYSE:FLS), a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, today announced it was awarded a three-year contract in September 2011 by Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited (Thailand) to implement its Online Assurance program. The Bangchak program will incorporate the IPS APEX™ data acquisition system, with embedded “equipment edge” intelligent diagnostics, and will initially focus on monitoring the critical Enhanced Hot Separator pump system that is part of the refinery’s HyCycle™ Unicracking™ process unit. This online asset management program incorporates Web-based data aggregation tools and is designed to enable specialized technical experts from Flowserve to monitor process conditions and anticipate failure modes for critical plant assets.
A vital part of the Online Assurance program is the Flowserve Technology Advantage™ Portal, a Web-based data/information aggregation system. Through this portal, Bangchak plant operators and Flowserve technical experts can collaboratively view a centralized repository of plant asset information aggregated from numerous sources. In addition, critical information can be exchanged about equipment and process conditions to ensure maximum equipment and unit availability.
