Flowserve Holds Desalination Customer Forum in Canary Islands
Flowserve holds first annual Desalination Technology Conference designed specifically for Flowserve desalination customers.
DALLAS, TEXAS, July 27, 2010 – Flowserve (NYSE: FLS), a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, recently held its first annual Desalination Technology Conference at a unique locale off the northwest coast of Africa – the Canary Islands. The event was designed specifically for Flowserve desalination customers with presentations about:
• Flowserve DWEER™ pressure exchanger solutions and LifeCycle Advantage™ program
• Recent technological breakthroughs in rotating equipment design
• Long-term Flowserve service and LifeCycle Advantage contracts
• Flowserve innovative upgrade and technical assessment solutions for desalination plants
Approximately 80 participants attended the event. Flowserve donated all registration fees to the UNICEF international fund.
In addition to the presentations about desalination technology and services, the conference also featured a site tour of a local desalination plant on the island of Gran Canaria. Tour participants had the opportunity to view the plant’s equipment, systems and processes in operation.
